Equal numbers merge
Two tiles of the same value become one worth their sum.
Once per move
A tile that already merged this move cannot merge again.
Something new arrives
A move that changes the board adds a 2 — occasionally a 4.
About this board: The board follows the standard 2048 rules exactly: matching tiles merge once per move, a new tile only appears after a move that actually changed something, and that new tile is a 2 nine times out of ten. Nothing is scored that the board did not do — the sum lands the moment two tiles fold together.
